It's a very powerful Insteon "controller" that can crawl your existing network and set all sorts of features that are difficult or impossible to do using the switches alone. Unfortunately it's over $300 (I have the older ISY-26 and it's great, but no IRLinc support).

Thx for sharing steps on how to link the IRLinc manually.chefhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02070848137697092109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8021804707308920781.post-69393614276649185122009-09-17T18:42:13.540-07:002009-09-17T18:42:13.540-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.chefhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02070848137697092109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8021804707308920781.post-49065778319792208472009-07-03T05:50:37.399-07:002009-07-03T05:50:37.399-07:00Thank you so much for posting this description. I was completely baffled by the numbered buttons on the remote and even started trying to "learn" the codes from the credit card remote.

I found it works best to create separate buttons for on and off and then assign these buttons to the dimmable remote buttons such as volume + and volume -.

Likewise, I haven't been successful with any formal scenes. Also the IRLinc is not at all as manageable from HouseLinc 2. It shows up, but that's about all.

Thanks again.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13567770879269804562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8021804707308920781.post-33338459761941669502009-04-19T15:28:00.000-07:002009-04-19T15:28:00.000-07:00Do you mean the dim functionality from the switch ...Do you mean the dim functionality from the switch itself or the remote, or both? The blue LED started flashing.
* I pressed the button on the side of the IR Linc twice.
* On the wall switch, I held the down paddle until the lights it controlled turned all the way off and then flashed, at which point the blue LED went solid (about 10 seconds).Von Welchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05687325630634707896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8021804707308920781.post-56112138404782144442009-01-31T05:08:00.000-08:002009-01-31T05:08:00.000-08:00Hi Perillo - I haven't figured out any way to do p...Hi Perillo - I haven't figured out any way to do preset scenes yet, but if I do, I'll update here.Von Welchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05687325630634707896noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8021804707308920781.post-84840503518339872802009-01-26T17:04:00.000-08:002009-01-26T17:04:00.000-08:00Please tell the rest of the story. I am looking at using IRlinc and my harmony xbox remote as a way of setting scenes like for a bathroom or booze break during a movie that would make the lights come up part way. Also I need to control a switch at the top of a stairway that bleeds into my theater area. I am excited to hear about your success as this means the IRlinc and devices may be a economical solution to my lighting control needs.Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11229913010801390898noreply@blogger.com
